Career/Major based on my interests?

I've always planned on majoring in Journalism because I love writing and I love to travel. However, I don't really like the media. I've also considered Psychology, but I'm afraid it might be too depressing. I'm really outdoorsy and like hiking, biking, traveling, nature, etc... I'm just starting to consider something like Wildlife biology or Oceanography, but I've never been especially strong in the sciences...writing and the arts have always been my forte. Yet, my dad is a microbiologist and my mom is a physician. My dream is to write for the National Geographic. I was just wondering if you have any other ideas for what type of career/major I could pursue based on my interests?
