Hair loss/flakes? Please help? Linked?

When I scratch my head, or rub my head, small flakes come from my head...Not dandruff, but almost like yellowish, skin flakes. I shampoo my hair everyday, and tried different shampoos. Also, I am losing my hair at a faster right on my temple area. Can these be linked at all or is it just hereditary the hair loss?
