How can I refine shea er at home to remove the odor?

I know refining shea er destroys some natural qualities in it but I can't stand the odor! I would like to refine it at home. I don't just know how to refine shea er or the type of chemicals that I can use to do the refining process. If anyone is out there with any information to help then that will be great. Also, how do I perfume it? Is it possible that I can add scent to the shea er to comback the natural odor? if so, then how do I do it? Thanks in advance.
