Is the recent spate of knife crime another reason why UK motorists should be paying more tax?

Presumably lorries are used to deliver knives to the shops, and knife owners use their cars when they buy knives. I am sure that Gordon Brown will soon see the connection. Fuel taxation can be both Green and help prevent crime!
