Are black/purple Adidas Gazelle's gay on a guy?

I want a pair of Adidas Gazelle's. Theyre black suede soccer shoes with the 3 Adidas lines in royal purple. My friend is saying I'll be made fun of, and they'll be uncool. I understand I shouldn't care what others think and such, I'm just wondering what people do think!
