Confused about my families religion?

My family are a mixture of Maltese, Italian and Irish. All those countries are prominently catholic, so my family are. Every person in my family has been baptised apart from myself and my brother because my Dad and Granddad had a big argument so my Dad disagreed with getting us baptised. I recently went to visit Malta and it made me felt somewhat left out. Its full of churches and a lot of religious things and I feel as if I should be a Catholic because its what all my family are and wanted me to be. I believe in God but I don't really get the big differences and duties when it comes to Catholicism. I'm just confuseeeeeeeeddddd, help please!
