How do I create a boot-menu in Dosbox?

Back in the day I used to be able to make boot-menus by adding lines to my config.sys and autoexec.bat files to accommodate different setting for different games. Dosbox it seems has a equivalent file, dosbox-0.73.conf , so it seems I should be able to do the same thing, but I've forgotten how, and everything I've tried seems to have no effect. I'd love it if somebody could just show me example of the lines I could put in my dosbox-0.73.conf
